The Importance Of Shopping Pre-Collections: GUCCI

Although we barely started wearing our summer lineup, believe it or not, it’s important to start thinking of pre-fall now. The strongest collections start shipping essential wardrobe items now, and it’s important to be on top of it so you don’t miss out on the core pieces.

Earlier this week Joe and I stopped by the Gucci Flagship Store preview of hot-off the presses pre-collection, and these are some of my favorite pieces:

Gucci Pre-Fall 2012: Stonal Jacket

The stone color jacket is not only chic, but has a touch of Avant-garde. It can be worn with skinny jeans for a casual look, a trouser for business, or a bulletproof pencil skirt for a sexy dinner look.

Gucci Pre-Fall 2012: Navy Ensemble

This navy, blue and charcoal ensemble is essential! It has the sexy Gucci fit that we all love, and at the same time its separate pieces are timeless and classic.

Gucci Pre-Fall 2012: Camel Blazer

This camel blazer will owe you nothing, as it is the perfect neutral for anything and everything this fall. I love the way it’s paired with red. -Jesse

Gucci Pre-Fall 2012: Dark Suede

You can be sure that any suede or leather piece from Gucci is going to be an investment piece. The way this look is styled – suede texture paired with pop of color and velvet skinny pants – feels ultra modern.

Mission: Wedding In Style

I’m getting married next month! As someone who works in fashion, making sure that everything is perfect (and reflects my style!) can be a lot of pressure. There are so many things to think about, but where do you begin?

I started putting my vision together by creating a collage from images that inspire me for the dress and the wedding party. I used pics from magazines, Google search, and Pinterest was a lot of help (check out my boards). As the preparation for the big day moved ahead, so did my collage. It Takes A Village!

When we look at images of celebrities, it’s important to realize that it does take a team of experts and professionals to look that way (not to mention all the Photoshop and retouching that also goes along with this). To truly look and feel amazing, you must constantly be seeking balance in mind, body, and soul. Always keep in mind we are forever a work in progress; there is no secret potion or quick fix.

I’m a fashion stylist, not a medical doctor, dentist, dermatologist, plastic surgeon, shrink, trainer, or member of the clergy, so I’m going to focus on style. I just want to make it clear that as you assemble your own list of professionals and experts that keeps you together, fashion should fall somewhere in the middle.
