VT Stylist Profile: Kellye Henton

Kellye HentonLead stylist Kellye Henton has been on the Visual Therapy team for quite a few years—and needless to say—she’s an incredibly talented stylist who’s extremely knowledgeable about designers and brands, how to achieve the perfect fit, and which trends are worth investing in. She does an amazing job styling her clients, always making them look and feel confident and current, while also managing to surprise and inspire with her own personal style. Her penchant for edgier styles in black, white or green and her love for unexpected leather pieces mean her daily looks always slay.

Today, we’re shining the spotlight on Kellye, read on to find out how she defines her style, get the scoop on what she considers the most important pieces in a woman’s wardrobe, and the main reasons she loves being a stylist.

How would you describe your style type?

My style is a mix of minimalism and androgyny, with a little sex appeal added in.

Where are your favorite places to shop for clients? for yourself?

I’ve always been more of an online shopper, it works for me! Net-a-porter and Yoox are my go-to’s. For my clients, I love Fendi, Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, and Dior.

Who are some of your favorite designers?

The newest brand I’m currently loving is Peter Do. My all time favorites are Loewe, Proenza Schouler, and if I’m still allowed to say this—Old Céline.

What’s your favorite thing about being a Stylist?

Obviously, I love shopping and being able to see designs from all over the world. The ultimate joy though is when I see a client’s face light up after they see themselves in a look I’ve styled for them. It makes me feel like I’m exactly where I need to be. Of course, I also love the seasonal ‘inspo’ trips to Paris Fashion Week.

What are 3 items you think every woman should have in their wardrobe?

A great pair of jeans, the perfect white t-shirt, and last but not least—a sexy strappy sandal. Worn all together makes the perfect look in my book!

What do you think the big trends will be for 2020?

Since I love a good accessory, I think top handle bags will be a must-have for 2020.
