VT stylists Kellye Henton and Lisa Marie McComb
Paris Fashion Week is always the most exciting outpost of fashion month for us here at VT. Twice a year, we send our stylists to the city of lights to attend the shows and preview all of our favorite designer collections. This season, lead stylists Kellye Henton and Lisa Marie McComb took over our Instagram stories in Paris and we’ve been living vicariously through them ever since.
If you haven’t had a chance to catch up with their adventures on our stories, keep scrolling for in depth coverage of Paris Fashion Week AW 2019 through the eyes of VT stylists Lisa Marie and Kellye.
Dior Fall ’19
Dressed in all white, black tulle, and toile, Kellye and Lisa Marie headed to the Christian Dior fashion show this past Tuesday. The show was set in a box behind the Musée Rodin and featured quilted skirts and jumpsuits, plaid, lots of plaid, vinyl, a bucket hat on each model, and what has since become a signature look for Maria Grazia’s Dior—full skirted dresses with fitted, feminine bodices.

Maison Margiela Fall ’19
Kellye and Lisa Marie pulled their edgiest looks for the Margiela fashion show this past Wednesday. The unisex collection was all about beautifully designed outerwear and menswear inspired suiting, mostly done in shades of grey with the occasional pop of cobalt and pink printed fabric.

Rick Owens FW ’19
Kellye and Lisa Marie were excited to see what offerings Rick Owens had in store for his Fall 2019 collection. They were surprised to see splashes of color within the mostly neutral collection—there were red leather pieces and boots, a deep purple gown, and even pops of lime green in a Rick Owens does Grecian style dress. The girls were invited backstage after the show to meet Rick himself and take a look at the mood boards and inspiration he referenced when designing the collection.

Loewe FW ’19
Kellye and Lisa Marie have been big fans of Loewe ever since J.W. Anderson took over as Creative Director, and their fall 2019 collection certainly did not disappoint. The fashion brand’s offerings for fall were reminiscent of Phoebe Philo era Céline, with oversized supple leather bags and cocoon coats, really great knits, and an equal amount of statement pieces and easy, every day ready to wear.

Hermès FW ’19
VT Creative Director Jesse Garza’s ultimate favorite brand, Hermès is known for their incredibly luxurious, high quality designs. They almost never stray from their classic, equestrian inspired roots, but this season’s collection took the brand’s heritage and reputation for excellence and stepped it up a level. The pieces were distinctly Hermès, sure, but they seemed more modern and updated. The leather details and separates were exquisite, and we loved the monochromatic styling and celestial-like prints.
