How would you describe your style type?
My personal style leans towards clean and classic. Mixing black and navy is a must. I also love a great accessory that elevates even the most casual outfit.
Where are your favorite places to shop for clients? For yourself?
I’ve always said that I can shop anywhere! Saks and Neiman Marcus are my Beverly Hills go-tos for clients. I also love boutiques with a unique point of view like Maxfield, Just One Eye, and Jenni Kayne. The styling and range of styles on Net-a-Porter make it my favorite online store.
Who are some of your favorite designers?
I love The Row for their minimalist luxury. McQueen for their sharp edginess. Uniqlo for the best wardrobe basics, and Dries Van Noten for his fresh perspective.
What’s your favorite thing about being a stylist?
I think my favorite things are those “lightbulb” or “ah-ha” moments I’ve had with my clients. I can honestly say it happens fairly often. I get the feels when I see the look on a client’s face as they see themselves—sometimes for the first time—as I do, or when they tell me how many compliments they’ve received.
What are three things every woman should have in their wardrobe?
A pair of jeans that make your butt look good, a chic handbag that tells people who you are, and last but not least—self confidence.
What do you think the big trends will be for 2020?
I think Preppy is ready for a comeback. I’m also hoping that more environmentally responsible fashion becomes a forever trend.
