As the country begins to slowly reopen, many of us are looking forward to finding  joy again in the little things—meeting a friend for coffee, going back to work, and probably most of all—the simple act of getting dressed to do more than just stay at home.

We have a feeling that colorful, happy dressing will take center stage, since we’re all searching for positive, mood-boosting ways to re-enter the world post-quarantine. And, since we’ve always been big on incorporating color into our clients wardrobes—specially when done in a chic way—we’ve mastered the styling tricks needed to nail it.

Being intentional about the combinations and tones is key, but if you need a little more inspo, keep reading for our 3 easy ways to wear more color this spring.

Go For The Pop

Probably the easiest way to do color, VT Co-founder Jesse Garza swears by the occasional pop. A mostly neutral baseline with a happy pop of color in the form of a handbag, jacket, or a bright piece of jewelry is always chic and never boring.

Stick To A Color Family

Familial color dressing is similar to going completely monochromatic, but with a twist. Wear different shades of red, head to toe earth tones, or all green hues. True color fanatics can even incorporate the above tip into this look with a bold pop in a contrasting hue.

Choose Striking Combinations

Some color combinations are obviously complimentary—we’re always drawn to navy and white—but some of the most eye-catching combos are actually quite unexpected. Try mixing pastel blue with a cheery marigold, deep red with bright pink, or a saturated turquoise and black.
