On Trend: Modernist Resort

Long gone are the days when all of your resort wear had to be a collection of gauzy dresses and coverups in bohemian influenced patterns such as florals and animal print. Don’t get us wrong, there is a time and a place for a beautiful long and flowing tropical print dress, but we think there’s a lot more to resort than Cavalli and Calypso.

White on white is one of our favorite ways to do resort right now and Givenchy, Narciso Rodriguez, and Balenciaga all showed elegant sculptural monochromatic ensembles in their 2016 collections. Black was also a big theme, especially with Stella McCartney and The Row.
