The Council of Fashion Designers of America awards, a.k.a. the Oscars of fashion, took place last night at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York.
Hosted by comedian Joel McHale, the awards included star presenters like Tilda Swinton and Alexander Skarsgård.
Our favorite looks of the night were the flawlessly timeless Jessica Chastain in Prabal Gurung, Selma Blair who pushed tuxedo look to the edge of avant garde, sleek and elegant Claire Danes in Calvin Klein Collection, and Alexander Skarsgård in Tom Ford.
Honorees included Beyoncé (CFDA’s Fashion Icon Award), Norma Kamali (Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award), Donna Karan (Founder’s Award), Gucci’s Alessandro Michele (International Award), as well as Marc Jacobs (Womenswear), Thom Browne (Menswear), Floriana Gavriel and Rachel Mansur of Mansur Gavriel (Accessories) and Imran Amed of Business Of Fashion (Media Award).
