There were many things that stood out to me on the runways this season, but some of the things I loved most were the shoes. The trend is definitely moving towards comfort with lower heels and sneakers flooding the catwalks so without further ado, these are my favorite shoes for spring! –LM
Gladiator Sandals
I’ve been waiting for the bohemian trend to take flight and it’s finally having its moment in the limelight. I’m currently fashion stalking these from Valentino.
The Platform
Platforms are a solid base to build your boho look. Though chunky sandals may not be for everyone, they certainly raise the sartorial stakes! J’adore these Dior sandals infused with some whimsical details.
The High Slide
Architectural and sleek, I love these slides by 3.1 Phillip Lim especially this color combination with a mesh side giving them an open-sandal vibe.
Futuristic Shoes
These modern Alexander Wang shoes are made for comfort and style using techno fabrics. They also add a great pop of color to your shoe wardrobe.
Comfort and fashion collide in the white sneaker. It’s been a trend for a while now but has never been seen more prominently than on my most recent trip to Paris during fashion week. It seems the white sneaker has become the modern basis of a simple chic look. I chose these Puma Match Lo sneakers in a cream color and white sole. They are trendy and comfortable with out looking like nurses’ shoes!
The Trainer
As an alternative to the sneaker, you could opt for trainers instead, but I love keeping it neutral and modern no matter which style you choose. Hi tops or low, you will be comfortable.
