We noticed Charlotte Groeneveld of The Fashion Guitar during Spring 2016 Paris Fashion Week. The way she pulled off a modernist Céline ensemble with simple white sneakers and her “pop of color” red sunglasses was the epitome of what we like to call “thrown together, put together.”
Originally from the Netherlands, Charlotte is now based in New York with her husband Thomas and two toddlers, James and Stella. After working on several fashion blogs at her job, she decided to start her own blog, which quickly became a full-time job.
What sets The Fashion Guitar apart is her loyalty to the “real-factor,” which shows up in her commitment to staying truly authentic. For example, she doesn’t retouch her skin in photos. She also doesn’t work with brands just for the money, “no matter how badly I want those Celine shoes,” she says. Just ahead, Charlotte—a true “style blender” who encompasses all 5 of our style types—opens up about what inspires her, the things that make her feel powerful, and her favorite collection this season.
