L.A. native Rosetta Getty is no stranger to the glitz and glamour of fashion and Hollywood, having strutted the Parisian runways as a model and being married to Balthazar Getty, actor and great-grandson of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty. So in 2006, when she debuted her line Riser Goodwyn, a collection of trendy cocktail dresses, it became an instant success, garnering A-list fans like Kirsten Dunst and Kristen Stewart.
But the culmination of her fashion talent came in the form of her eponymous line which launched this year. Modern yet casual, the pieces reflect her sleek tomboy aesthetic, which include a myriad of T-shirt dresses, crepe skirts and relaxed pants, all of course in monochromatic hues. It’s not terribly surprising then that her own closet is stocked with Celine, Hermes and Martin Margiela.
What else does she think should be in every girl’s closet?
1. A flattering pair of black trousers. They are a closet staple and can be easily paired with anything in a woman’s wardrobe.
2. An elegant shirtdress.
3. A great coat; our Rosetta Getty bathrobe coat will be my go to this winter.
4. A comfortable flat shoe; anything from loafers to chic slippers.
5. Button down cotton poplin shirts; I am always on the quest for one and we make sure to incorporate shirting into the collection every season.
See her sleek, minimalistic looks that made Getty California’s sartorial darling.
Looks from Rosetta Getty’s Spring 2015 collection are the epitome of chic minimalism.
