Runway To Reality: Rick Owens FW 2016

Change in seasons come with a change in fashion, and one of the collections we’re most excited about for Fall/Winter 2016 is Rick Owens.

We stopped by the Rick Owens boutique at 30 Howard Street in New York to preview some of the pieces. Even though we love shopping at big department stores, there’s something magical about the designer boutiques. The boutiques are where you truly get to see the full scope of the collection and immerse yourself in the story created by the designer.

Guided by one of our favorite sales associates—Feng Feng—we were able to touch, feel, and try on some of the gorgeous winter pieces, choosing along the way our picks for VT clients. The asymmetrical, oversized outerwear pieces featured oversized hoods and cloud-like forms in rich dark colors such as Dark Dust Grey and Macassar Brown.

Once again Owens—inspired by his muse and wife Michèle Lamy—stayed true to his timeless avant-garde point of view, both in the clothes and in the newly added interior design pieces.
