Men’s Fashion Week is in full swing in New York, and so is the Spring shopping season for our clients. Do I need any more reasons to update my wardrobe? As a stylist, I like to practice what I preach, and start shopping early in the season to get the best of the best of my favorite collections. Especially since the current warm weather allows to “buy now, wear now”.
While I usually shop for clients at Bergdorf’s, Barneys and boutiques on Madison Avenue (I have a personal love affair with Hermès, Lanvin and Bottega Veneta), I love mixing things up with Vince. They’re masters at creating real clothes for every day that are comfortable, modern, with a chic sporty edge, and my trip to their Meatpacking boutique proved it. Here are some of the pieces I picked up.
Wool Silk Jersey Long Sleeve V-Neck Sweater | Snap Front Hooded Jacket | Worsted Wool Urban Jogger
I’m all about uniforms: finding silhouettes and functional pieces that work together, creating what we call a wardrobe “capsule”, where everything works with everything. This way, getting dressed in the morning is a no-brainer.
Comfort is something that’s very important as I’m hopping on and off planes. At the same time, I have to look appropriate in front of my clients, and represent myself as someone people would trust their image with. Vince fits the bill! The jacket from the SS 2016 collection can be dressed down with a jogger and tennis shoes or dressed up with a shirt and blazer.
Check out the new arrivals at Vince, 827 Washington Street in New York.
