Holiday Windows: The Most Fab Fifth Avenue Displays

Holiday Windows: The Chicest 5th Ave Displays

We all know the holiday season doesn’t officially start until the 5th Avenue stores in New York City start bedazzling their storefronts. So we’re very excited to say, Christmas is officially on its way and judging by the gorgeous displays, this year it’s going to be bigger and better.

Take a look at some our favorite decked-out stores!

BARNEYS NY

If the Barneys windows scream Great Gatsby to you, that’s because Baz Luhrmann, the director of The Great Gatsby and Moulin Rouge, and Catherine Martin, his costume and production designer wife, are the creative masterminds behind them. The theme this year, aptly named Baz Dazzled, features gilded robots, a live figure skater in the window, and ornate details framing its entrance. If there was an award for Most Glamorous Windows, Barneys would win this year, hands down.

BERGDORF GOODMAN

Inspired is how you’ll feel after ogling at the BG windows, because Inspired is, in fact, their theme this year. A tribute to the arts, each window is dedicated to a different art form: literature, architecture, theater, painting, music, dance, sculpture and film, and each is made from their own set of materials by the hands of more than 100 artists.

CHANEL

Staying true to the Arabian oasis theme of the Dubai Cruise show, Chanel‘s Christmas windows display holiday party-worthy drapey dresses set to a backdrop of interlocking C’s that have us dreaming of somewhere warm and far, far away.

DIOR

Giant ornaments dangle from Dior‘s windows, complementing the equally playful ready-to-wear dresses and accessories. Even without the baubles, though, Dior’s shimmering facade is decoration enough for the season!

LOUIS VUITTON

Getting creative with their signature customizable ribbon, Louis Vuitton has the multicolored bands draped diagonally across their multi-storied store, creating the contours of a Christmas tree when looking from the corner. The windows then follow a different color theme along with large monograms toasting the Celebrating Monogram dinner for their 160th anniversary last month.

VAN CLEEF & ARPELS

It’s a winter wonderland for Van Cleef & Arpels who decided to expand on the fairytale themed jewelry collection that launched this summer based on Charles Perrault’s magical myth Peau d’Âne (Donkey Skin). The storefront is frosted in white and decked with miniature castles, scrolls and chests, giving its accessories a dreamy glow.
