Gucci Pre Fall 2019 Is Not What You’d Expect

We recently had the opportunity to preview Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2019 collection at their boutique on 5th avenue, and we have to admit we were pleasantly surprised. Alessandro Michele—Gucci’s Creative Director—is known for his more is more, vintage inspired aesthetic, but this season he’s decided to tone it down and add more classic, wearable offerings to his usual fanfare.
Our stylists loved this collection, which included beautiful, sophisticated suiting and work-ready color-blocked dresses. Of course it wouldn’t be Alessandro Michele’s Gucci if there wasn’t a heavily embellished cocktail dress, but for the most part the clothing was unexpectedly classic. We’re excited to style these versatile pieces for our clients come fall, but for now check out some of our favorite shots from the preview below.
