Vogue has released a magical new four-part short film series Directed by Gia Coppola (Francis Ford Coppola’s granddaughter) featuring Alessandro Michele’s gorgeous Gucci Pre-Fall collection.

The film revisits one of humanity’s oldest stories, the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, set in modern-day New York. The bold four part series mixes fashion and narrative and stars French singer-songwriter Lou Doillon (Jane Birkin’s daughter) and model/actor/photographer Marcel Castenmiller.

The story is expressed best through the bold, romantic clothes worn by the characters, from a stunning bridal gown with snake embroidery to all of the colorful furs and ’70s-inspired accessories.

“I look at fashion as a reflection of our times. And Gucci is the perfect time capsule for right now,” says the movie’s stylist, Oscar-nominated costume designer Arianne Phillips.
