Okay, we’re obsessed with Jennifer Lawrence!  Not only because she’s a talented actor with quick wit and blunt sense of humor, but to top it off she’s grounded.  We respect her impeccable style and most importantly, her courage to stand up for herself.  She chose body acceptance instead of agreeing to diet for her role in “The Hunger Games” and conforming to Hollywood standards, and actually confronted the public over a toxic spread of a nude photo leak.

“When these movies came out, everybody else was looking at me differently, and the whole world was changing, but my world wasn’t changing. Everybody I was surrounding myself with was honest and real and telling me the truth. I don’t like yes-people. I don’t like lackeys. I don’t like when people fake-laugh at my jokes,” Lawrence shares in Vanity Fair.

With her actions, Jennifer Lawrence proves the importance of not losing yourself in superficial things like fame, money and diets, and empowers others to do the same.

“She’d done a movie, and people in the industry knew her, but she wasn’t really famous. And so I watched her grow into, amazingly, the biggest female star in the world. And it’s staggering to me how much she’s been able to just hold on to her basic decency and her amazing. marvelous spirit. You know, it’s not terrible, people telling you you’re great; what’s terrible is when you start believing it. She never did,” says Woody Harrelson about his friend and “The Hunger Games” co-star Jennifer Lawrence.

When you become so successful at such a young age, it’s incredibly easy to get caught up in meaningless things. Somehow, Lawrence has been able to choose the other path, becoming a body-positive role model for millions of girls and women around the world. Bravo, J-Law!
