Mindfulness is the new black.
And it’s often confused with anther trendy word – meditation. Let’s clear it up.
Mindfulness [noun] – a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, without getting attached to any of them.
Meditation is an action that leads to a state of effortless “thoughtful awareness”. In other words, meditation, yoga and other such practices (which can really be anything – it’s all about the intention), are vehicles through which we practice mindfulness.
Here are 5 quotes to inspire you to add a little mindfulness to your day.

“If we learn to open our hearts, anyone, including the people who drive us crazy, can be our teacher.”
“We will be more successful in all our endeavors if we can let go of the habit of running all the time, and take little pauses to relax and re-center ourselves. And we’ll also have a lot more joy in living.”
