VT Stylist Profile: Deanna Sylvester

Deanna SylvesterVT Stylist Deanna Sylvester joined the New York team this past summer, but she was previously an assistant on the VT Chicago team for almost three years. Deanna is just getting started as a stylist here in New York, but her personal sense of style is definitely already well established. Her love for minimalist, chic styles make her a great fit for the NYC team, and we’re excited to see how she’ll dress her clients in the coming seasons.

How would you describe your style type?

I like to keep it very minimal and only wear neutral colors. Comfort is key, but I still aim to look polished and put together.

Where are your favorite places to shop for clients? For yourself?

For clients, Saks, Bergdorf’s, and Net-a-Porter are go-to’s. For myself, I love to shop online, mostly at Mango, Aritzia, Zara, Reformation, and Net-a-Porter. I also frequent vintage shops for one of a kind pieces.

Who are some of your favorite designers?

Jacquemus, Chanel, The Row, Toteme, Nanushka, Khaite, Bottega Veneta, Dion Lee, and Alexander Wang are a few of my top favorites.

What’s your favorite thing about being a stylist?

Seeing how happy the client is. The positive change in a clients’ confidence is why I do what I do.

What are three things every woman should have in their wardrobe?

A great pair of jeans, a tailored blazer, and a chic pair of sneakers.

What do you think the big trends will be for 2020?

I think 90’s inspired styles will continue to be huge in 2020. Leather pieces and square toe shoes!
