We’re entering a new era in fashion. With the exception of Gucci’s continual reign, some of today’s biggest designers—Mary Kate & Ashley of The Row, Daniel Lee of Bottega Veneta—are paring things back, and those who are in the know are following suit. Take the street style at Paris Fashion Week for example, there was still a fair amount of peacocking, but what stood out the most to us was a stealthier, more streamlined kind of styling.
Neutral outfitting stole the show this time around, as our favorites amongst the street style set chose well-tailored, solid basics over maximalist print mixing and logo-mania. A well-placed belt, simple jewelry, and a luxe handbag or clutch was nearly all the accessorizing we saw—and for us—all that was needed. We’ve always been big fans of classic dressing, so we’re excited to style ourselves and our clients in fresh designs that are timeless and trend-less. Keep scrolling for all the inspiration you’ll need to get on board with this type of minimalist styling and shop the post for the best “cake” pieces available now.
