The chaos that is NYFW has officially ended and now we finally have the time to digest all of the creative inspiration the shows and street style looks gave us. One our favorite things to do following NYFW is to learn as much as we can about the up-and-coming or newer brands that showed collections that got us excited to follow their careers and sell their pieces.
There will certainly be many more to come with London, Milan, and Paris fashion weeks still ahead, but in the meantime check out a few of our favorite NYC newcomers.
Kim Shui
This NYFW marked Kim Shui’s 3rd season as a designer, and her edgy, 90’s inspired designs added some much needed sexiness to fashion week.
PRISCAVera
Founded in 2015 by Prisca Vera Franchetti, the brand has steadily gained a cult following ever since. PRISCAvera effortlessly merges “cool girl” downtown style with the chic tailoring and draping of more traditional brands.
Area NY
Experimental brand Area has been on our radar for a while. Founded by Parsons School of Design graduates Beckett Fogg and Piotrek Panszczyk in 2013 and carried at Barneys NY, we’ve been lusting over their iridescent lame separates since we first spotted them a couple of seasons ago.
