VT Home is featured in NYC&G MagazineVT Home founder Joe Lupo designed an incredible new home for Visual Therapy Creative Director and co-founder, Jesse Garza. A huge thank you to New York Cottages & Gardens Magazine for capturing the magic that Lupo created in their September Issue.

Garza purchased a pre-war fixer upper in a converted office building on Madison Avenue in Manhattan’s trendy NoMad neighborhood. The space itself was an absolute disaster with drop ceilings and zero closet space. Garza gave Lupo complete creative freedom, his only request being for additional closet space—and why not?

Lupo describes his creative vision for the apartment, “The entrance wall had a jaunty curve and I love symmetry, so I used the pie shaped curve to create a huge, double hanging walk-in closet and a dressing room. I was able to raise the ceilings by 18 inches and the doorways by one foot creating a soaring soft loft feeling. The project was an absolute labor of love and the final ‘reveal’ for Jesse was price less.”
“The idea was to feature a few amazing pieces of art and create a luxurious cocoon for Garza, who had grown accustomed to living in a glass box in the sky. The bedroom was quite small, so I custom designed a bed with floating side tables and made the bedroom simply a room with a bed—like a chic hotel suite,” says Lupo.
