When putting together our client Melinda Knight’s spring wardrobe (Melinda is super busy Chicago based doctor), we knew that Céline had to be on the list. With graphic prints, bold colors and modernist shapes, the collection was perfect as Melinda LOVES to make a statement with a pop of color.

Phoebe Philo’s SS 2014 Céline collection is about a powerful woman who works to balance her personal life with career, lives a full life with a wide spectrum of emotions, and uses style to both make a statement of power, and to uplift her spirits when needed.
It’s one thing to see a collection on the runway, but working with the individual pieces and styling them seamlessly into our clients’ wardrobes is a different story. It’s our job as stylists to make fashion real for our clients, and adapt it to their lifestyles. Here is how we used pieces from the collection to create a cocktail look for Melinda.
We completed the look with Victoria Beckham snake clutch from Bergdorf Goodman – it compliments the electric blue in the sandal while keeping it neutral with the light grey snakeskin.
