Paris Fashion Week Diary: Louis Vuitton F/W 17

On Tuesday, the Visual Therapy team witnessed fashion history at Louis Vuitton’s F/W ’17 runway show.

For the very first time in the history of Paris Fashion Week, a runway show was held at Musée du Louvre, as Louis Vuitton presented their F/W ’17 collection inside the museum’s central sculpture atrium. What’s more Parisian then watching a top French fashion house show their collection inside the museum that houses all the great French masterpieces? At the show, we also happened to run into one of our personal idols and the fashion world’s greatest icon—Grace Coddington—it was an honor to be around someone with such talent and lovely energy.

Although the sculptures are usually the main stars at Le Louvre, once the show started, the focus shifted to the art in motion—the models. Watching models strut alongside the historic and powerful sculptures was breathtaking and inspiring.

Real art, real fashion.

The F/W ’17 collection was edgy and classic with sportswear being Nicolas Ghesquière’s chief inspiration. The range of pieces included luxurious furs, silky slips, structured jackets, and leather toppers made for easy day to night dressing—which of course—we loved!

Check out our shots from the show below, along with our favorite runway looks and a clip of the breathtaking final walk.
