Three, two, one…..It’s the Chanel FALL/WINTER 2017 BLASTOFF!
Chanel took its F/W ’17 show to new heights today—literally. As we entered the Grand Palais this morning, our eyes met a gigantic—a 115 feet tall to be exact—Chanel branded rocket ship in the center of the venue. Ushers were dressed in white space suits, NASA employees sat in the first row…just kidding about that one. But in all seriousness, we felt as though we were about to board the Chanel rocket and take off to explore the newly discovered planets!
The presentation wasn’t the only thing that was out of this world—each look that walked down the runway was unreal in its beauty and workmanship. Metallics, tweeds, and luxurious shiny fabrics made up the bulk of the collection and the mix of characteristic Chanel designs, space inspired prints, and mod styling was the perfect blend of modernist and classic.
