As always, Karl Lagerfeld delivers a an unforgettable setting. This year’s Chanel‘s theme, Brasserie Gabrielle, was a fully functional brasserie set inside the Grand Palais. The set was enormous and what you can see is only one side of the venue!

Inside, attendees enjoyed quick pre-show espressos. I sipped mine while wearing a full Chanel look, of course: Chanel mini dress, Chanel belt (tied as a bracelet) and a Chanel purse. It was a little drizzly outside that morning so I opted for my Valentino Moto boots and tights and threw a Givenchy cape over and it was perfect for the Brasserie!
Wrangling the very social crowd to their seats was a huge feat, but once we were seated, the first models and best friends Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevigne entered through the revolving door. One after another, a beautifully textured flurry of knits, tweeds, and feathers each had their moment at the Brasserie. I loved how many of the looks reflected the classic Chanel aesthetic. like the pants layered under a skirt and the perfect sized evening bag. It was also so exciting to see buffalo plaid used at Chanel–the lumbersexual trend continues through Fall 2015!
Models took a long walk then placed themselves ever so casually at the tables and barstools along the runway. They then stayed in place offering guests a rare opportunity to get a closer look at the details of the collection.
As we left the magical show, I wanted to say “Has anyone seen my coat? I think I left it on a coat hook at Brasserie Gabrielle. Grey and feathers? Yes, that’s it, please send it to me right away, Karl!” As we were leaving the venue, we saw Lagerfeld sitting behind the brasserie bar.
