Paris Art Diary: Helmut Newton

The Helmut Newton exhibition has been extended to 30 July 2012

Grand Palais is currently showcasing an exhibit of Helmut Newton photographs curated by his wife of sixty years, June Newton.

We were lucky to catch this collection of over two hundred original prints, and loved going on such a provocative journey. Raw reality and beauty were consistent themes throughout his work, expressed in fashion, nudes and portraits.

Taking a retrospective angle, the exhibition also features a film made by June Newton about the man behind the camera, “Helmut by June”, shown in a mini theater in the last room.
