NYFW Fall 2015 Diary: J. Mendel

Inspired by late-1970s New York City nightlife, J. Mendel Fall/Winter ’15 show featured not only Studio 54-spirited monochromatic numbers, but also daytime appropriate clothes with a nod to Richard Avedon’s Anjelica Huston. According to Gilles Mendel, “every night owl needs a day dress.”

Our favorite looks were the black and white pieces, like the soft grey fur coat and the shimmery final number. We love that the dresses are sophisticated with a subtle undercurrent of sexy, all the while being unapologetically glamorous. And we could definitely use one of those statement sable coats right about now! Check out our coverage below.
