Our clients are dedicated collectors of Gilles Mendel’s cocktail and black tie gowns, and of course furs. Now, with the opulent and sexy J. Mendel Haute Couture collection—Mendel’s very first—we think those collections are about to expand.
Our longtime friend Gilles used classic and refined luxury as the foundation for this collection, going over the top with the final product, taking his sophisticated, elegant designs to new heights.
The end result is a stunning collection featuring classic shapes made avant-garde with techniques like embroidery with Keith Haring-style swirls, grid stitching with fur and broadtail, and peekaboo cutouts in mink. Mendel’s designs took these classic shapes and made them lighter and sexier, edgy, avant-garde and everything in between. We were blown away by the intricacies of each garment and excited to present our favorite pieces to our top clients.
