This past Friday, Dior packed up its Cruise 2018 collection and headed to Los Angeles—as did our lead stylist—Lisa Marie.
Prior to the show, guests had access to the Dior Cruise show’s app which explained the inspiration behind bringing the collection to Los Angeles—Christian Dior’s fond memories of his trips to California. The exclusive show took place in the remote and picturesque Santa Monica mountains.
Guests arrived via ATVs to the open space and stepped out onto what looked like safari campgrounds equipped with two massive hot air balloons. The western California laid back theme was consistent throughout presentation. The rugged mesa backdrop and dirt runway made the guests feel a deep connection to nature, something often lost or nonexistent in a typical fashion show.
