For his debut haute couture collection for Christian Dior, Raf Simons accomplished a difficult task – he took Dior’s iconic silhouette and modernized it. You never want to look like you’re wearing something from an archive. Knowing that, through color and sleek metallic belts, Simons added a modernist edge to the collection, yet kept the original feminine shape. I especially loved how the designer took a neutral dress with beautiful detailing and completed the look with a shocking pop of color. -Jesse
