Two style lessons I’ve learned from Olivia Palermo are:
1) Chunky knits don’t have to make you look like a blob.
2) You can wear a belt with almost anything, even over a jacket.
To fight the frigid temperatures hitting NYC, I decided to throw on my favorite 3.1 Phillip Lim sleeveless tunic and layer my ASOS tweed jacket over it, so I’d still be warm when I take it off at the chilly office.
The bottom layer was a thin Zara long sleeve top, so as to not add to the bulk. Since none of those items give me much of a waist, I cinched it together a-la Olivia Palermo with my Fendi belt. My Vince slip-ons complete the boy-ish look, but during the colder months I wear my Stuart Weitzman 5050 boot instead, for a warmer but still sleek look.
