Don’t Miss: Charles James Exhibition in Chicago

One of very few American haute couture designers, Charles James created dresses that were nothing short of works of art. Known for his amazing ability to combine intuition and technical precision, he is said to have influenced Christian Dior to come up with the New Look. James was also dear friends with one of our favorite photographers, Cecil Beaton, from their school years in England back in 1919.

Make sure to visit a very special exhibition: “Charles James: Genius Deconstructed” at the Chicago History Museum, which opens this Saturday, October 22, and will run through April 16.
