As I am shopping for my Chicago clients this season, I can feel the exciting revival of high end boutiques on Oak Street. When I worked at Ultimo for Joan Weinstein, many considered it to be the best store in the world. It was a truly an iconic place that set the world class standard for luxury shopping. Since Ultimo closed, many stores have disappeared from Oak street – some moved to different locations, and some shut down. For the first time in years, there’s an opportunity for it all to come back, with boutiques like Lanvin and Christian Louboutin forging it ahead. Some of the other stores on Oak Street are Hermès, Moncler, Loro Piana, Barneys, with Tom Ford set to open this fall. It’s the beginning of a new shopping era in Chicago, and as a company with roots in Chicago we’re very excited to see and support it! -Jesse
