Style Tip: Review & Update Your Jackets For Fall

Blazer Street Style

During transitional weather, a great jacket (or blazer!) is the key piece. The other day was the first time this season that I reached for a jacket – you could smell autumn in the air.   My clients and the process of transitioning came to mind; while the weather still goes from warm to cool, we’re starting to gradually pull out our fall pieces one by one, previewing them to determine what feels right.

The great thing about a blazer is that during transitional weather, it serves as outerwear – pop the collar and add a scarf and gloves as the temperatures lower.  For me, slipping into my modernist Bottega jacket with mesh inserts changed my mood and put me in the right state of mind to get my clients ready for fall.

Hopefully you’ve already seen our post on the importance of being proactive, and found the missing pieces of the puzzle for your fall wardrobe.   You don’t want to be a reactive shopper in this scenario, you’ll miss out on the best pieces.  NOW is the time to go over what’s in your wardrobe, see what works, and what is ready for the next step in its circle of life (give away to friends or donate!)

Here are the three jackets that you should pay attention to this season. We’re especially obsessed with the chic Saint Laurent jackets with satin and leather inserts – modernist versions of the iconic YSL tuxedo. -Jesse
