No one channels effortless Parisian chic more than Caroline Maigret, author of “How To Be Parisian” (Doubleday, 2014).
The granddaughter of Prince Michel Poniatowski (former Minister of the Interior and Health in France), and the daughter of Count Bertrand de Maigret, Caroline began her modeling career in 1994 and instantly began working with photographers like Mario Testino, Peter Lindbergh and Terry Richardson. Not only has she walked for houses like CHANEL (for which she served as a muse in 2011), Balenciaga and Marc Jacobs, but she also has a rock music label called Bonus Tracks Records, which she owns with her partner Yarol Poupaud.
According to Maigret, she doesn’t have clothes for special occasions–everything she owns is for the now. She continues this theme of being ‘present’ in her interview to nymag.com, in which she shares her best style advice:
