This past weekend, I attended the Food and Wine Classic in Aspen with incredible tastings from celebrity chefs and chic parties. Whether you’re planning a trip to the Aspen Ideas Festival, Jazz Aspen Snowmass or another occasion, here are a few tips!
I tried the newly renovated, legendary Hotel Jerome and relished in the vibe of summer in Aspen. The Jerome was originally a true cowboy hotel from the late 1800’s that was renovated and is now managed by Auberge Resorts. The décor felt like the most stylishly comfortable wild west I could ever imagine, and the service was perfection.
For dinner, we enjoyed the most incredible Sushi at Matsuhisa and to our surprise, Chef Nobu was seated at the next table. The following evening, Cache Cache was a culinary fantasy and finally Prospect in the Hotel Jerome – another scrumptious treat. The person next to me at Prospect, who is an absolute foodie said “somebody is showing off in the kitchen!” Be sure to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail in the afternoon and some carpaccio or gourmet pizza at Above the Salt at the foot of Aspen Mountain. -Joe
