Perfect Dresses for Every Body Type

Love wearing dresses? Want to know a no-brainer way to pick a dress that’s flattering for YOUR body shape?

Curvy: Emphasize your waist by buying a dress that either has a seam or gathers at the waist, is ruched or nips at that point. Go with a simple bottom, and keep all the details up top.

Straight (and tall): Go for something asymmetrical in satin or jersey and longer in length to flatter your tall, lean frame. Or consider a deep V-neck.

Straight (and short): Shorter-length dresses will give the illusion of being taller, so skip the 3/4-length and go for the knee.

Full: Highlight your best assets and go for something with a bit more cleavage, like a scoop-neck dress with 3/4-length sleeves and a straight body. Vertical seams and darts can create a longer, leaner look.
