“To be lucky, you have to believe in luck” -Jacques Arpels
The theme for our week in Paris was orchestrated magic, and previewing Van Cleef & Arpels’ “Palais de la Chance” exhibition along with editors (thanks to our friend at Van Cleef, Sheryl Dyer) made it even more special. As Lisa Marie and I entered the grand space of Palais de Tokyo, where the walls were covered with beautiful blue velvet drapes, we were taken on a private tour to preview the collection organized into three themes: “Your lucky star”, “Lucky-charm nature”, and “Lucky legends”.
Inspired by magic and lucky symbols, the playful and intricate pieces are a pure example of unmatched artistry. Seeing the collection in person really gives you a greater appreciation to the craftsmanship involved in its creation. It was even more amazing to hear the details about the inspiration behind “Palais de la Chance”, which is all about paying tribute to luck in a creative, beautiful, and of course, sparkly way. What a magical collection! -Jesse
