Fresh with unexpected detail is the best way to describe Gilles Mendel’s Spring ’15 collection. The 45 looks were packed with sheer pleats, flowy trains and stunning pops of color from lime to blood orange. The artful collaboration with artist Enoc Perez introduced interesting graphic details and patterns throughout the collection that felt new and definitely out of the box for J. Mendel.
The collection wouldn’t be complete without the genius use of fur that Mendel is known for – major head-turners were the pieces in bright turquoise or spotted red and black. Mendel once again proves that he is a master of elegance – this time, with a colorful modernist twist.
