Vogue’s January 2014 cover star, Cate Blanchett, has always been one of our favorite muses. But after her stunning performance and impeccable style seen in Woody Allen’s “Blue Jasmine”, our hearts were won over forever. Here’s Gift, Message and Cause for the Academy Award-winning actress, mother of three boys, wife, and the best-dressed woman of 2013.
Known for her incredible portrayal of Elizabeth I of England in the film “Elizabeth”, and Katharine Hepburn’s character in Martin Scorsese’s “The Aviator”, Blanchett’s accolades include a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, two BAFTAs, and an Academy Award. According to Woody Allen, “Cate is the one of her age group now that has that amazing natural gift of depth and complexity that you can’t define.”
“The most important power we have is within ourselves,” – says Cate Blanchett, who, according to her colleagues, really feels and acknowledges something within herself that helps her in her brilliant acting work.
Blanchett helped launch the Australian Conservation Foundation’s Who On Earth Cares campaign, with an aim to persuade Australians to express their concerns about climate change. She is also a patron of the development charity SolarAid, for which she filmed a special appeal.
