I have learned over the years from working in high-end luxury that most women have a tendency to save their fine jewelry for special occasions. Things get locked away as if they were the Crown Jewels. I want to inspire women to start enjoying their jewelry because… this life is not a dress rehearsal!

Here are a few of my rules on fine jewelry:

1. Security – First and foremost, make sure everything is insured. Next, find a safe & secure place to keep your pieces. We recommend an organized safe or locked drawer with the proper lined trays and grids.

3. Maintenance – Review all your pieces to ensure that nothing needs repair or cleaning.

4. Mix-n-match – Take the time to play with your jewelry and figure out the best way to style them. Remember that it is always hip and cool to layer your necklaces and stack a few bracelets with your watch.

5. Drop hints – Communicate with your spouse or partner to make sure they fully understand what you love. I believe that it is always OK to have a wish list and share it.
