After attending Ralph & Russo’s second Haute Couture show, we understand why this London-based duo is so sought after. Throughout the opulent show, Jesse and I found ourselves visualizing our clients in several of these exquisite gowns.
In a time when most celebrities are hired to wear and represent specific brands, Angelina Jolie, and many other best dressed women, repeatedly choose to commission one-of-a-kind pieces from Ralph & Russo.
We had the pleasure of meeting Ralph & Russo’s CEO, Michael Russo, in Paris last year over tea at the George V. As he presented us with sketches of his one-of-a-kind wonders it became immediately apparent why the brand is the first and only British house on the official Paris Haute Couture schedule!
The audience was fabulous: we saw everything from the chicest to the most outrageous.
A finale wedding gown required the hands of 5 handsome gentlemen to turn the train!
VT’s Top Looks From Ralph & Russo Fall 2014 Couture Collection
1. Platinum perfection – one we expect to see on the red carpet. I would love to know how much this gown weighs – truly opulent beading covering every inch…gasp!
2. This purple chiffon criss-cross gown captured our attention immediately as it seemed to glide down the catwalk. The simple elegance of the draping allowed the color to be the stunner.
3. Intricate beading cascading down this sheer chiffon and organza gown was feminine and flattering, with just the right amount of sexy. –X LM
