Some names are synonymous with fashion photography, and one of them is Alexi Lubomirski. The British photographer has released his book, ‘Decades’ (Damiani). Formerly Mario Testino’s assistant, he has shot cover stories with Cate Blanchett, Victoria Beckham, Gwen Stefani, Demi Moore and Scarlett Johansson.
But that’s not the whole story. Lubomirski also happens to carry the title of prince, and author of a book titled ‘Notes for a Young Prince‘. In the book, this father and husband remembers what his mother once told him – “If you are to be a prince in today’s world, you have to be a prince in your heart and in your actions.” According to Vanity Fair, these words inspired him to write a little book filled with wonderful wisdoms and profound reminders of how one should be at heart encouraging young readers to be genuine and kind to others. The best part? 100 percent of proceeds from the book sales go to charity, Concerns Worldwide, an non-governmental, international, humanitarian organization dedicated to reducing extreme poverty in world’s poorest countries. It is absolutely amazing that someone as talented and accomplished spreads beauty via his incredible photography, but also a more profound message of internal beauty. Bravo, Alexi!
